Over the past 15 years, FEUERSCHWANZ has not only become one of the hottest bands in Folk Rock but has also made a name for themselves as one of the most entertaining representatives of the genre. The band has worked their way to the top through persistence, relentless Touring, and one grandiose album after another – and now FEUERSCHWANZ reaches for the stars with 'Das elfte Gebot' (The Eleventh Commandment). Known for their ironic lyrics, catchy songs, and a healthy dose of hedonism, on their 9th album, they have taken it up a notch with a harder and more direct approach. 'The messages in our lyrics come from the heart, they are very important to us and therefore formulated explicitly, without beating around the bush. That requires a sound that knows what it wants,' says singer Prinz 'Hodi' Hodenherz. And what a fat sound they deliver. Paying homage to legends like Iron Maiden and Testament, as well as contemporary bands like Ghost or Gloryhammer, mixed with the unique FEUERSCHWANZ trademarks, 'Das elfte Gebot' becomes a direct and intense sonic experience. However, the band has not lost their experimental spirit, which is evident in songs like 'Lords Of Powermet'. This is the band's first song that also includes English lyrics and revolves around a group of religious fanatics who worship the 'sacred horn' – an epic and at the same time hard-hitting ode to their audacity.

For 'Das elfte Gebot', FEUERSCHWANZ once again teamed up with Subway To Sally's Simon Michael Schmitt, who gave the album the perfect sound between medieval rock and straight Heavy Metal . A message that is also conveyed by the more aggressive artwork. 'The buddy-type dragon from previous albums has turned into a war machine. The warrior in the foreground is reminiscent of a crusader - except that instead of a cross, he carries the Feuerschwanz emblem in his coat of arms. Instead of spreading the 'true' faith through violence, he breaks church and societal norms and does his own thing - he lives by the ELEVENTH COMMANDMENT. When the world is in flames, there is no time for false vanities. Do what you love and let it kill you,' explains singer and guitarist Hauptmann Feuerschwanz.

In addition to their own captivating and intense songs, FEUERSCHWANZ took a deep breath, grinned, stepped out of their comfort zone, and recorded a cover album called 'Die sieben Todsünden' (The Seven Deadly Sins) – featuring songs by both German and internationally successful artists that you wouldn't necessarily associate with FEUERSCHWANZ. Among them: 'I See Fire' by Ed Sheeran, 'Amen & Attack' by Powerwolf, 'Gott mit uns' by Sabaton, or 'Engel' by Rammstein. 'We sat down and tried to find a common denominator for our 'sins'. We all have different musical preferences, so there are also songs that are the be-all and end-all for one musician, but a sin for another! We won't reveal which song belongs to which category...' the Hauptmann chuckles.

This fact shows how much the 'we' truly means within the band, as Hodi explains: 'With the number of songs, including the cover songs, we suddenly found ourselves faced with a huge amount of work. There was no time for frills or any egotrips. 'Das elfte Gebot' is a team effort.'

And what an effort it is! In 2021, FEUERSCHWANZ will embark on an extensive Tour as part of the album – don't miss it!
